Ebbets Field

Ebbets Field has served as the home of the Brooklyn Dodgers since 1913. It has a seating capacity of 32,000. The Dodgers would like to thank all of the fans who have made sellouts a common occurence here in Brooklyn. There's little doubt that the Dodgers will remain a fixture in Brooklyn for the next hundred years and beyond.

Did You Know?

The Shaeffer Beer sign on the right field scoreboard lets the fans know the official scoring. If a play is ruled a hit, the H will light up. An error will cause the E to light up.

The first night game at Ebbets Field was on June 15,1938. It was overshadowed though by another historical achievement: Johnny Vander Meer 2nd consecutive no-hitter.

The first televised game was played here in 1939 versus the Reds.
